Horse Camp
co-ed entering grades 5-8
We have a special program for horse lovers at Silver Creek! In addition to experiencing all of the regular camp activities, horse campers will spend half of their day learning to feed, groom, saddle and ride horses at our newly renovated horse camp facility. Horse Campers also get to go on their very own overnight to the Howard Creek campground where they will go on a long trail ride either to or from their campground. No prior horse experience necessary.

Ranch Camp
co-ed entering grades 7-9
Ranch Camp is for campers who just can’t get enough time with horses. Campers spend six days at our newly renovated horse camp facility located at Camp Silver Creek. Campers are evaluated on their skill level at the beginning of the week by our experienced Horse Camp Staff and then are assigned to one horse for the rest of the week that they are responsible for grooming and feeding. Ranch Camp is filled with trail rides through Silver Falls State Park, their own overnight at Howard Creek, guest ferries giving demonstrations, and to top it all off; having the opportunity to participate in regular camp activities as well. Prior horse experience recommended.

Ranch Camp 1: July 8-14
Ranch Camp 2: July 15-21
Teen Ranch Camp: August 19-25 (For campers entering grades 8-11 only)
Advanced Ranch Camp (Held at YMCA Camp Greider)
co-ed entering grades 8-10
We will continue to expand on your knowledge of horses and riding with our experienced staff. Campers must have completed at least one session of Ranch Camp to enroll in this session. Advanced Ranch Camp is designed for those campers with a higher skill level of horsemanship or has gone through our Ranch Camp program.
