Youth Cheerleading Program For kids in grades K – 8
This program was started by local community parents wanting this sport in our community. It has since grown to be one of our largest and well spectated programs that our YMCA offers. Kids learn basic and advanced cheer skills in a team building atmosphere.
What will be taught?
Cartwheels, round-offs, back handsprings along with choreographed cheer and dance routines
Where will teams perform?
There are usually 2 – 3 performances per session. In the past, teams perform at WOU basketball and football games, Central High School Basketball games and season ending performances at Independence Elementary.
