Child Development
The Salem Family YMCA’s Child Care Program offers care for children ages six weeks through Kindergarten at our downtown Salem locations (Early Childhood Program). In addition, before and after school programs are offered at several school sites across Salem (School Age Enrichment Program).
The YMCA understands the importance of offering safe, quality childcare, and seeks to provide a happy atmosphere, develop the child’s positive self-esteem, provide social opportunities, strengthen self-discipline, stimulate curiosity, and encourage self-expression. In addition, YMCA programs emphasize and model the YMCA’s character values of Caring, Respect, Honesty, and Responsibility.
