YMCA School Age Enrichment Programs Inclement Weather Information
In severe weather conditions, the YMCA School Age Enrichment department follows the Salem-Keizer School District's decisions on cancellation. Parents are advised to listen to Salem area radio stations in the morning for updated school closure and delay information.
- If Salem area schools are closed, both morning and afternoon School Age Y-Care are cancelled.
- If school is delayed, School Age Y-Care will make every effort to open school sites by 7:45 a.m. This is to help ensure the safety of Y staff.
- If school is dismissed early for weather reasons, afternoon care will be cancelled and parents will need to pick up their children as soon as possible.
- In the event that State of Oregon offices are closed, all YMCA child care programs will be closed.
