At the YMCA, programs are buoyed by passionate volunteers, generous visionaries, and community partnerships. When neighbors help neighbors in need, a legacy beyond dollar value begins to form. That legacy-made up of community awareness, connectedness, and involvement-is the foundation for building strong communities and is the lifeblood of the YMCA’s mission to nurture the potential of every child and teen, to improve our community’s health and well-being, and giving back and providing support to our neighbors.
The YMCA has made a positive impact on more than 15,000 members of our community through our healthy living initiatives, youth sports, childcare programs, camping, aquatics, and family activities. One of of three would not have been able to participate without direct financial support by community members through our Partners with Youth Campaign.
We recognize that, to succeed, everyone must be given the opportunity to be healthy, confident, connected and secure. It is our effort that everyone in our community can participate in the YMCA regardless of the ability to pay. Money raised during the Partners with Youth Campaign directly supports children and family enrollment fees, including membership at the YMCA. Last year, nearly $500,000 was awarded in financial assistance to persons in need.
