Ages six weeks through Kindergarten
We nurture children’s natural desire to learn by providing ample opportunities to explore and learn through developmentally appropriate activities. Our creative curriculum focuses on interest areas, allowing children to make choices based on interest in blocks, dramatic play, art, sand and water, music, cooking, computers, table toys, library, and the outdoors.
Inclimate Weather Policy:
In the event of inclimate weather, The Early Childhood Department will be closed anytime the State of Oregon offices are closed as well.

Infant Care
(6 weeks to 15 months)
Infants experience the joy of exploring their world with their hands, mouth, ears, and sight with caring staff.
Toddler Care
(16 to 30 months)
Social skills through small group activities are provided to prepare these future leaders for Preschool.
Preschool Care
(31 mos. to 5 years)
Art, drama, field trips, manipulative-gym, activities and swimming lessons are incorporated into the comprehensive learning process.
Kindergarten
(Downtown Salem YMCA site only)
1/2 Day Program: AM or PM classes available.
Stimulating lesson plans integrate math, science, pre-reading skills, art, drama, field trips, fitness, and swim lessons. Before and after Kindergarten care options (including transportation) are available.
Space and availability subject to change based on YMCA needs.
